Downer Contracting has been providing quality construction services to the Banff, Lake Louise, Canmore and Kananaskis areas for over 17 years. During that time we have successfully completed projects varying in size and scope for both the public and private sector.

Recently, Downer Contracting was the successful bidder for the removal of waste-rock & stripping of over-burden for Graymont Ltd. in addition to the raw materials haul at the Lafarge Canada Exshaw Plant. The Lafarge contract also includes loading and hauling shale & sandstone from local quarries to the plant as well as processing, selling & hauling of limestone rip rap and other miscellaneous on-site work. Some of this work includes excavation/stockpiling of pit run and the construction and maintenance of the CKD Landfill.
